FAA Approved Simulators 

  OUR CLASSROOMS

Dean International operates a flight training facility in Kendall-Tamiami Airport (KTMB), which is located approximately ten miles southwest of the center of Miami, Florida.  Kendall-Tamiami (KTMB) has three runways with two parallel runways 150 feet by 5000 feet; it is equipped with an ILS and NDB approach. Kendall-Tamiami has an excellent FAA control tower.

 

Complete Pilot Program

Our complete Professional Pilot Program will give you 250 TT no limitations with an additional 20 hours on our FAA approved Simulators. Your program will include 200 hours aircraft time and 100 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) time. 

***Note: This Program meets FAA standards. If your country has additional requirements for pilot training, we will gladly design a package to meet your needs.***

 We offer our International students the M1 student visa.

Private Pilot Course - Single & Multi-Engine Requirements

40 hours of flight time
20 hours dual, including:

  • 3 hours cross-country
  • 3 hours night, including:
    • One cross-country flight over 100 NM
    • 10 Take Offs & Landings to full stops
  • 3 hours instrument
  • 3 hours of test prep. (within 60 days of flight test)
  • 10 hours solo
  • 5 hours solo cross-country
  • One 150 NM solo cross-country flight (full stop)
    • Three points, one being at least 50 NM
    • Three takeoffs & landings with full stops at an airport with an operating control tower.

 

Instrument Airplane Rating Course - Requirements

50 hours of cross-country PIC (at least 10 hours in airplanes)
40 hours of actual or simulated instrument time, including:
  • 15 hours dual time
  • 3 hours instrument test prep. written
  • One IFR cross country of at least 250NM with 3 different approaches

 

Commercial Pilot Course - Single & Multi-Engine Requirements

250 hours of flight time
100 hours in a powered aircraft (at least 50 hours in airplanes)
100 hours of PIC time which include:

  • 50 hours in airplanes
  • 50 hours of cross-country time (at least 10 hours in airplanes)
  • 20 hours of training which include:
    • 10 hours instrument training (at least 5 hours in either single or multi)
    • 10 hours complex
    • One 2-hour day VFR cross-country of more than 100 NM
    • One 2-hour night VFR cross-country of more than 100 NM
    • 3 hours of test prep. (within 60 days of flight test)
  • 10 hours solo
  • One cross-country flight of no less than 300 NM
    • One leg of at least 250 NM from departure point
  • 5 hours of night VFR flight
    • 10 takeoffs & landings at an airport with operating control tower

INSTRUCTORS
Primary (Student Pilots) - $35.00/hour
Advanced (Private Pilots- $38.00 Per Hour
Multi-Engine / ATP / CFI Training - $41.00 Per Hour
